Endesa participates successfully in the secondary regulation market thanks to its AGC system. Despite the fact that Endesa is equipped with many thermal power stations, Endesa fullils accurately the response requirements of Spaninh seconday regulation system. Endesa has identified a problem the hour change when generation program changes significantly. In such cases, Endesa makes an intensive use of the up and down regulating bands. It affects the incomes due to secondary regulation. The aim of this project is the design of schemes of generation control such as the use of the secondary regulation bands is minimized.
